The Pianist
I watched "The Pianist" today. It's been out a while but I've been timid to actually watch it because of the descriptions I've read. I really don't like war movies but I've not hated the ones I have seen. They're usually not told in story form and if they are it's usually a boring narration of events. Plus like wars it's a war movie so it's bound to make me sad. What prompted me to overcome my anxiety was the music. A friend of mine introduced me to Chopin's "Nocturne in C sharp minor" via youtube. I thought that maybe this song would be somewhere in the middle of the film so that would keep me watching throughout the terrors of the story but it turns out that this particular song was at the start of the film. By the time the song was finished I'd been drawn into the plot against my longing to turn to a more pleasant subject. I really don't know what to say here. Go watch the movie if you haven'
