Heartache in Dreamland

Image
I had a dream last night. In my dream I saw my future spouse with someone else. They couldn't hear me nor see me but I could hear and see them. My heart broke as I looked on to see them together. My place was being occupied by someone else and the heart and body I'm to receive in marriage was being given to another. These are the words my heart screamed in protest as it was breaking. "Wait for me. Be patient and you won't get your heart broken by the  people who don't love you like I do. What are you doing with them? That's my spot that you're giving away. That's my bed where I'm suppose to lay." "Who is this? A momentary satisfaction? What about me? Aren't I worth the wait? Right now all that matters to you is immediate gratification." "I'll love you forever baby. You won't have to worry about STDs or pregnancy with me because you'll know me and want to have a kid by me." My voice is going on deaf ear

My Banana Pudding Pie

Image
This is my first food blog. I love making things with my hands and that includes cooking and baking. I was able to make a pie recently and unlike the other times I finally stopped being lazy and took my cam with me to document this fiasco. lol This time I made a Banana Pudding pie following the directions for the pudding off of the box of Jello pudding. I made the crust following Marg (CaymanDesigns) 's " Basic Graham Cracker Crust ". I have a hard time sticking to rules so I follow the "guidelines" in cooking. If it turns out bad that's my fault. :D The pudding's already made with only 2 cups of milk to thicken it. The following ingredients make the crust: Ooops I forgot to take a pic of the butter. oh well. At least you know it's in there now. lol Anyways I didn't have enough white sugar so I ended up using dark brown sugar for the rest of the sugary ingredients. The crust mix looked like this: Next I scooped the mix into a silver p

My Perfect Imperfections

I decided to do a Tag as my comeback blog. This tag comes from Andrea of AndreasChoice. She is a beautyvlogger and she tagged everyone so you reading this can answer here or on the video's page if you want. Tag rules: Name three things you can't change about yourself that you don't like and three things you can't change about yourself that you do like.              Imperfections My Nails: I don't like how short they are. I'm talking about the length of the pink part of my nail. My Scars: The scars and stretch marks on my thighs made past summers difficult for me. My Sensitive skin: I have sensitive skin I break out easily and the amount of care I have to put into taking care of it has gotten old.               Perfections lol: My dimples: I like dimples but sometimes I forget that I have them too. lol My eyes: I think they're big and pretty. They come in handy when I want something from Grandma lol jk

About My Silence in the Blogging World

Image
I don't like writing about things that people don't care about hearing. I like writing about matters that concern people. That's not to say that I will only write on deep topics. My point is that someone must care to read my opinions whether it's about my belief in Christ, politics, fashion, music, art or anything. So if there is something you'd like to know my opinion on leave a comment anywhere on here and I'll see and respond.  This also doesn't mean that I'm dependent on an audience to write. My own thoughts don't interest me enough to think someone else would take interest in it so I haven't written anything. I've already talked myself out of quite a few blogs. Tempress

I Don't Believe In Love...

Image
...at first site. I don't believe in love at first site. I do, however, believe in lust/attraction at first site. Love is more than attraction and short-lived hyped feelings. Love is knowing, accepting, commitment and selfless unlike lust which is ignorant,  selfish and fleeting. What people think of when they say love at first site is mostly attraction. Then a couple of  years, months, days later they want to leave because the feeling (the initial attraction) isn't there anymore. The adrenaline is gone and so you want to leave with it to the next person who makes you feel that way. So no I don't believe in love at first site. Attraction draws people to each other and then we learn about each other. From this we have two choices friendship or acquaintance. If you sided with the former you have the choice of either staying at the friend level or building on that friendship to love. The world's definition of love is diluted and corrupt. Arizona's Immigration Law

Image
What the celebrities have to say A-list actresses Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba, and Eva Longoria joined forces to fight Arizona’s Immigration Law in a new public service announcement recorded for United We Win campaign. In the PSA Langoria Parker says, “I haven’t made it a secret that I’m strongly opposed to the Arizona law and I’ve been pretty vocal about it. It’s unfortunate that this immigration issue has been on the national agenda for the past three administrations.” The Desperate Housewife goes on to comment about her fear of discrimination saying: “I think the biggest misconception is that everybody who is dark or of colour is from somewhere else. I’m ninth-generation American. I’m more American than a lot of my Anglo friends. If my father got pulled over because of the colour of his skin, I could guarantee you I would be outraged. The PSA will air on September 10th and hopes it will send people to vote when Arizona’s general election is held on November 2nd. “We’re

The A-List Rappers (in my mind)

Image
The A List (in my mind) inspired by Jin's song A-List I decided to make my own A-List focusing on Christian rappers. Jin Angels Asian connection: Jin is Chinese, born in Miami and based out of New York.  Of all the MC’s on this list, Jin’s Asian connection is the strongest.  He’s made numerous tracks that are Asian and Chinese-related as well as recorded several albums in Cantonese.  He is currently based out of Hong Kong. Jin is the single most well-known, written-about, revered, disrespected, loved and hated Asian American rapper ever.  It’s hard to believe he’s been out in the scene since 2001 – it only seems like yesterday you could catch him Freestyle Friday Battle.  Before Jin, most people had never seen an Asian rap before (myself included).  Jin changed the game as the first and only Asian American rapper to break into the mainstream.  For better or worse, he’s still the only Asian the average rap fan can name. I think it’s for the better. source: http://www.so

Toy Story 3 Review

Image
Adam Levine : "Pixar wins... Hands down the most soulful and refreshingly innovative way to tell a story. Regular films should be ashamed of themselves." I have to agree with Adam, that movie was awesome. It surpassed the 2nd Toy Story and matched the love of the original film. It drew me in with a wonderful plot and took me back to my childhood. I laughed as I did when I was a child. I would've cried had I not been in the midst of people at the theater. (I'm working on not crying in front of people lol)  Traphik:  "I didn't cry lol"    In the theaters I was surrounded by adults, I only saw one kid. Although this film was made for kids - scratch that! I think this was made to be a good, wholesome and entertaining film for all. I believe that's where this movie went right. When people in the film industry belittle children's imagination, intelligence and innocence they create one timers. Something appealing for the moment. But when film mak

So Taeyang Needs A Girl

There was so much wrong with that video. As much as I love Tae (he even has my nickname) I did not love that video...tsk tsk tsk. Not my cup of tea. Maybe others thought it was good but not me. The dancing? no.  - TaeYang can dance really well but what the heck was that? uh uh (shakes head in protest) The lyrics? oh no. - I need a girl? A girls who pretends? EEEEHHHHH I for one hope he didn't have anything to do with the lyrics. The wardrobe? meh it was ok. put your shirt back on. I hope others had a better experience with this vid than I did. What do you think?

The Last Airbender: To Boycott or Not? Part 1

Image
So I stole this title from Dante. lol The first part is what Dante has to say about the film. I don't believe he's seen it though. This whole article below is from actor Dante Basco. http://dantebasco.wordpress.com/2010/07/01/the-last-airbender-to-boycott-or-not/ " Today is the opening of the film “The Last Airbender”, a show based on Avatar, the animated series that I played the role of Prince Zuko, one if the lead characters. Now, with this event happening, I have been getting numerous emails and questions of how I feel on the casting of the film and ultimately does it warrant a boycott. Now some come from fans that would have like to see me play the role I originated for the series, they want to see me play Zuko on the big screen, and I must admit, I would have loved to do the role. I was told many of the producers were pushing to make that happen but M. Night Shymalan, the director of the film had another vision. Also him casting his country man Dev Patel, does

Why I Support Covers

Things that make me tick #9: When people blindly follow the masses without even considering what they actually believe. Recently Youtuber David Choi's channel was taken down because music companies were flagging him for putting up covers of their songs. I don't really follow David so when the news hit I wasn't as zealous as his number 1 fans in protesting but I understood how they might have felt. In light of the David Choi's current situation I wanted to talk about the controversy of making covers. So I'm going to give an explanation as to why I support covers (i.e. I'm not a blind follower). I don't think companies should penalize youtubers for covering their songs. The Reasons    First off Youtubers give a lot of well known and unknown artist exposure. I was listening to the Lemonade cover  and freaking loved it. When I listen to covers I go back to find the original and compare it. If I loved the cover 9 times out of 10 I'll love the origi
