Update Into My Mind

Happy New Year!! Unlike others I'm not really anticipating anything great this year. Our nation seems to be going on a downward spiral so I'm pretty concerned about it becoming a socialist nation. You see I'm a bit afraid of having to grow up and start a family in an oppressive country which I wasn't even born into. The only thing that's helped me stay calm through my anxiety of the future is the promise that Christ will take care of the needs of His children. With that promise I know Christ is greater than the law and he will provide for my family and I no matter what situation. I don't want people to be misled so I'll add this: Just because things go bad for His children doesn't mean that He's neglecting us. As long as our spiritual needs are taken care of Christ promised food and clothing (the essentials).

On a lighter note...
the things I hope come to past chronologically:

I finish my last quarter of college
I live to turn 20
My family gets to witness my sister and I graduate

After graduation I suppose I would continue working for my father. Hopefully things will go well for our company and my sister and I would be able to help the business grow.

All I ask from this year is peace in my heart and love in my home.


The Year 2009 for Me
I turned 19
I enjoyed a long needed family vacation
I enjoyed an extended winter break from school
During the break I learned a bit about myself and my flaws

In relation to my previous statement: I hope to improve on at least two of my flaws in 2010.

PSA: My Generation!!

  If you say you're not a follower you most likely are. To my generation I see people constantly trying to speak unification of the world but hate those whose views oppose their own. They say older adults and children are drones yet look at your choices, you're no different. You think you're above the masses? Hey you maybe different from your neighbor and friends but there's someone out there who's influenced your decision to be so very "different". Assess your choices. Adults are dumb? "When you grow up your heart dies"?   Every teen generation ahead of your own (especially the 60s) thought they were smarter than everyone. Some (not all) adults got the memo that life isn't all about pleasure. Life isn't all about art, music and love. As Stacie Orrico sang, "There's gotta be more to life than chasing down every temporary high to satisfy me." You want to know why we're so desperate for companionship? The tv, the songs, media is feeding us a horrible message that if you're not in a relationship you're not living life truly, you can't be happy nor satisfied. I say without Christ you can't be truly satisfied. There's this new show coming out this summer called Single Ladies... They shouldn't have titled the show Single Ladies because they sure don't want to be single nor are they acting like ladies. How about Desperate Women?!! Come on!!
